Wheaton Sprague was hired to provide expert design assistance and curtain wall consulting for this Student Union Building. which involved a re-clad of an existing building with brick veneer and glazed aluminum curtain wall at a size of 16’ high by 64.5’ wide, with a curved helix geometry. Wheaton Sprague worked collaboratively with the architect and the facade contractors to develop the design of, and criteria for, the feature walls, and assisted with the development of the construction drawings, constructability review, and specifications for bid.
This project was awarded Project of Distinction in the 2010 Education Design Showcase.
