Renown Medical Center Tahoe Tower (formerly Washoe Medical Center) is northern Nevada’s trauma center for adult and pediatric needs. The facility has been verified by the American College of Surgeons as the regions only Level II Trauma Center, designated by the State of Nevada, offering round-the-clock blood bank services, computerized tomography scans, magnetic resonance imaging and surgical services. This $12.4 million dollar curtain wall project was designed by HDR Architecture of Pasadena, CA. The project was installed by Enclos Corp. of Egan, MN.
Wheaton Sprague was contracted as the curtain wall engineer of record for the project. The building was 515,000 square feet, and 10 stories, featuring 200 beds and 18 surgical suites.
