Wheaton Sprague: Design, Engineering and Consulting for the complete building structure
A full-service consulting and engineering firm encompassing four distinct divisions:
- Building Envelope Engineering
- Building Envelope Consulting
- Building Structures
- Building Forensics
If the building were a human body, Wheaton Sprague would consult on and engineer the skin, as well as the skeletal structure, and would be the physician called upon if something goes wrong.
Wheaton Sprague Engineering, (WS) was formed in 1994 by John Wheaton, P.E., LEED AP, President and Richard Sprague, Vice President. Mr. Wheaton is a registered civil engineer who has devoted his career in the commercial construction realm to providing structural engineering, system design, and consulting services to the curtainwall and building industry and related fields. Mr. Wheaton also presently serves as the Vice President of WS's Building Envelope Division, and oversees all clients and business activities in the division. Mr. Sprague serves as Drafting and Design Manager, Administrative V.P., and oversees all staff technical resources and processes in this realm.
WS's Building Structures division was formed in 2001 based on our existing client's additional needs for primary structural engineering. Our vision was to provide the same client approach and quality to our Building Structures Division, that our clients had come to expect in our Building Envelope Division.
In 2003, WS's Building Forensic Division was formed to handle the increasing requests for material and serviceability failure investigations and studies.
Mark Coulis, LEED AP, who Wheaton Sprague in 2008, is the Vice President, and Senior Consultant in charge of our Building Envelope Consulting Division.
With four divisions housed under one roof, with expertise in all aspects of the building structure, Wheaton Sprague can build internal teams to focus on the individual needs and expertise required for each division's clients and work toward offering these clients part or all of a total building solution.
