Wheaton
Building Envelope, PLLC, (WBE) has been created for the purposes of
offering professional engineering, design and consulting services for
North Carolina based clients and for North Carolina projects. WBE PLLC,
is a working entity in North Carolina due to statutory rules governing
professional engineering services.
The
firm is led by North Carolina PE, John L. Wheaton, also President of
Wheaton & Sprague Engineering, a full service design, engineering
and consulting firm headquartered in Stow, OH. Wheaton Building Envelope, PLLC exists to provide design, consulting, and engineering services to clients and projects in North Carolina on buildings of all types, complexity and size. We work to build long-term relationships with the people and organizations we serve, to facilitate competitive, successful projects, and add order and structure to the engineering and design realm of our clients' businesses. We exist to create the best solutions for the project via technical ingenuity, experience and expertise, a responsive client approach, and a continual pursuit of excellence in all we do.
Craig
Mertz, P.E., stationed in Cary, NC, will be the regional contact for
North Carolina clients. Craig
is a civil engineer with a 13-year career in the commercial
construction realm providing structural engineering, design and project
management to the curtain wall and glazing industry. His experience
includes directing and performing structural analysis and design of
aluminum and/or steel glazing systems, panel systems, other forms of
exterior cladding, and specialty architectural components to the
