Wheaton Sprague is currently looking for a person with 10 years curtain wall experience. This person must have significant experience in leading shop drawings and fabrication drawings. We require 5 years minimum experience with AutoCAD, including AutoCAD 2007 or newer. Our ideal candidate must have excellent abilities in oral and written communication. They must have excellent ability in making drawings readable and unmistakably clear. We would like someone with a track record of few errors. 3D AutoCAD experience is preferred. Revit / BIM experience is preferred.

A recent P.E. with 3 - 5 years minimum experience in the curtain wall / building envelope industry is our ideal candidate. BUILDING ENVELOPE CONSULTANT NEEDED - Washington D.C. Region / Midwest
Wheaton & Sprague Consulting and Engineering is seeking an experienced Building Envelope Consultant who will advise architects, owners, or related clients on all matters related to exterior cladding systems. This is a professional level position for an architect, engineer, or design professional who is experienced, capable and proven in the building envelope industry. Our consulting practice is growing consistently, providing valuable and innovative services to clients in the US and abroad.
Candidates must have experience with building envelope design, consulting, specification preparation and construction administration. A firm understanding of governing codes and technical standards is required. The appropriate candidate should be able to demonstrate verifiable background and experience in which they creatively and knowledgeably solved problems for clients. The person in this position will interface directly with clients, as well as manage the technical and administrative functions of projects. The candidate must be an excellent oral and written communicator and will have duties related to the generation of new work and relationship development in their designated region. A LEED AP designation, experience with building envelope commissioning and thermal analysis would be a plus.
Willingness to travel (air, automobile, etc) and experience with working at heights from aerial equipment is mandatory.
