exterior cladding systems and system design, working independently and directly
with our clients, peer-reviewing and reviewing documents and submittals for appropriate
technical content & constructability, providing code consultation, checking
curtain wall and/or exterior cladding systems for air/water integrity. As a
staff Exterior Cladding Specialist, solves complicated system design problems
and provides workable solutions.
2005 - 2008 Curtain Wall Design & Consulting, Senior Design Consultant / Manager, Atlanta, GA
Responsible for technical review of drawings
and specifications, preparation of details and specifications, inspections and
testing of installed building envelope systems, and witness installation and
testing for performance of same. Advised architects, contractors and building
owners on new work and existing buildings, relative to performance issues for their
exterior cladding systems. Managed internal and external resources for Atlanta office staffed
with (5) consultants, provided peer reviews.
2003 - 2005 MK Architectural, Senior Project Manager and Sales, Canton, OH
Hard bid estimating, sales, purchasing, and
contract administration. Produce preliminary engineering analysis and system
designs. Participate in design / scope review with A/E teams and their
consultants. Coordinated and directed internal and external resources.
2000 - 2003 Wheaton Sprague, Building Envelope Consultant, Cuyahoga Falls, OH
Contract document review, value engineering,
field observation and testing for A/E and real estate clients. Produced
detailed reports and correspondence. Proposed solutions and corrective action
for wall system defects. Conducted product evaluation, current art investigation
and new product design for OEM clients, assisted another with a new skylight product
launch. Directed mock-up installations and testing for same client at ATI.
1992 - 2000 Associated Materials, Director of Engineering, Cuyahoga Falls, OH
Developed and launched new and innovative
building products, improved existing products and processes. Worked closely
with customers to understand their needs. Directed, assisted and trained
others. Spearheaded thermal testing and improvements in several product lines.
Studied and tested competitive products, and coordinated R&D functions.
Designed and built a new plant in Texas
in 9 months.

Prepared specifications, conceptual details
and test procedures. Performed field inspection, observation and field testing.
Reviewed contract documents and supplier submittals for several A/E clients.
Evaluated window and wall system failures; wrote detailed reports and
recommended remedial actions.Began
involvement with high explosive blast designs for walls.

Total project involvement and participation,
conceptual through final design, submittals, mock-up testing, extrusion die
design, fabrication, installation and project closeout. Produced preliminary

areas of "damage control". Heavily involved in field resolution of
problems, and worked closely with others to resolve issues and minimize
