BUILDING ENVELOPE CONSULTANT RECEIVES LEED AP

Mark Coulis, Senior Consultant and Vice President of the Building Envelope Consulting Division of Wheaton  Sprague, is now a LEED Accredited Professional.

The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™ encourages and accelerates global adoption of sustainable green building and development practices through the creation and implementation of universally understood and accepted tools and performance criteria.

LEED Professional Accreditation distinguishes building professionals with the knowledge and skills to successfully steward the LEED certification process. LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED APs) have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED Rating System.

Mr. Coulis has  many years experience in the Building Envelope Industry, and assists architects, owners, and related clients with all matters related to exterior cladding systems and design criteria, working independently and directly with the project team, reviewing drawings for technical content, providing code consultation, and checking façade and fenestration systems for air/water tight integrity. He provides pragmatic solutions for complicated design problems and consults with owners and architects on improved energy efficiency throughout the building envelope.

Coulis represents the 4th LEED AP in the firm, and comments that "our LEED AP credentials validate our knowledge and skills to facilitate the LEED certification process. Wheaton Sprague offers pragmatic, value-oriented advice on sustainable solutions early in the design process through project completion. In this way, WS will help to streamline the LEED certification process relative to building envelope elements."
