Jason Graham is a civil engineer who has devoted his 4-years in the commercial construction realm to providing structural engineering and design to the curtain wall and glazing industry. He currently serves as an Assistant Engineer to the Bloomington, Minnesota branch of Wheaton Sprague Engineering, Inc.
Having had experience performing structural analysis of aluminum window and curtain wall systems through a position at Wausau Window and Wall Systems in Wausau, WI, Jason has been a quick and eager learner. His dedication to improving in his craft, as well as his dedication to the accuracy of the project and satisfaction of the client have been a valuable asset to the Senior Engineer under whom he is currently working.
As Assistant Engineer, Jason assists a Project Manager or Senior Engineer on technical aspects of projects as needed. He works under their direction on repetitive and standard structural engineering tasks such as beam analysis, section properties, allowable stresses, etc. He is responsible for running stress and deflection calculations and providing anchor and connection calculations under the supervision of his superiors. Provides detailing on AUTOCAD to support engineering and drafting projects, and is continually working to apply basic structural engineering principles on routine problems. As an Assistant Engineer, Jason is learning the means and methods, principles and practices required to become a competent professional engineer.
Jason has been married to his wife, Heather, for 2 years, and together they have a very active 16 month old boy named Charlie. Thank goodness Jason doesn't have to chase anyone around in the Bloomington office, because he spends plenty of time chasing Charlie around at home! Playing with Charlie and entertaining him is a highlight of his time spent outside of the office.
Jason enjoys off-roading his Jeep Wrangler year round. With off-roading comes plenty of building and repairing experience as well. Jason also participates in dog agility training with his Australian Shepherd, Wrigley. Wrigley has been training Jason for a little over a year. Problem-solving and fixing things is not just something Jason does at work. He enjoys working on his home and doing small remodeling projects as well.
