This 3-story, 112,000 square foot office building, located in Embassy Corporate Park in the Montrose area of Bath, OH included a 3-story, 3000 square foot atrium with a glass skylight. Wheaton Sprague was asked to provide structural engineering services for this fast track design project due to the tenants desire to move in within one year.
Architectural design and structural/foundation design were moving forward simultaneously, instead of having the architectural design well established by the time structural/foundation design began. Design began in mid-October 2005. The foundation design was completed and submitted for permits by November 11, 2005. The Structural design was completed and submitted for permits three weeks later. Building construction was completed by October 2006 in time for the tenants scheduled move-in date. Construction proceeded on schedule and without any major issues.
